October is one of the more concentrated months for events in Buenos Aires. The city’s spring calendar stacks several significant dates within a short window, making the first half of October particularly active.
Gallery Night: 4 October
Gallery Night Palermo runs on 4 October, the first Saturday of the month. Galleries across the Palermo, San Telmo, and Recoleta arts districts open simultaneously from 19:00 to midnight, with free entry. Over 100 galleries participate, and the event has a social format — most spaces offer drinks and have artists present. It is one of the most accessible entry points to Buenos Aires’s contemporary art scene without buying tickets or booking in advance.
Buenos Aires Food Fest: 6–7 October
The Buenos Aires Food Fest occupies a venue in the Puerto Madero waterfront district on 6 and 7 October (Saturday–Sunday). Entry is ticketed; previous editions have sold tickets from around 2,000 ARS per day. The format combines Buenos Aires’s most recognised restaurants serving reduced-portion tasting dishes alongside a craft drinks section. The event draws a mix of local and visiting food community audiences and is typically fully sold out by the Thursday before.
BTS World Tour: River Plate, 23–24 October
The BTS World Tour returns to South America in October 2026, with two dates at the Estadio Monumental at River Plate on 23 and 24 October. Capacity at Monumental is approximately 84,000; these are among the largest live music events in South America in 2026. Tickets for both dates sold out within hours of release. Secondary market tickets are available through platforms such as Stubhub and Pasapalabra, at significant premiums.
For things to do in Buenos Aires outside the event calendar, October weather (average 18–24°C, low rain probability) suits walking-based exploration. The Buenos Aires spring festival season continues through November.
Booking and Transport
For the Food Fest, tickets are available via the event’s own page and through Ticketek Argentina. The Puerto Madero venue is reachable by the Premetro light rail or by Uber from the Microcentro in around 15 minutes.
For the BTS concerts, the Estadio Monumental sits in the Núñez neighbourhood, accessible by bus from multiple Metrobus corridors. The stadium operates its own transport plan on event nights; entry queues open three hours before start time and the queues are long — plan for at least two hours from arrival to entry.
Spring shoulder-season hotel rates tend to be lower than the summer peaks of December–January; early October can be a particularly good-value window if you are flexible on dates.
