Argentina’s low-cost carrier Flybondi has effectively ceased operations as of early July 2026, having gone roughly five consecutive days without flying. Multiple creditors have filed for court-ordered bankruptcy, the airline’s fleet has shrunk to approximately one operable aircraft (down from nine), and the CEO resigned in June. Anyone holding a Flybondi ticket should treat the booking as cancelled and make alternative arrangements immediately.

Routes and Cities Affected

Flybondi was operating domestic and regional routes including:

  • Buenos Aires (Jorge Newbery / Aeroparque) to Córdoba, Bariloche, Salta, and other domestic destinations
  • International routes to São Paulo (Brazil) and Punta del Este (Uruguay)

If you were planning to fly Flybondi on any of these routes, alternative domestic carriers include Aerolíneas Argentinas and JetSMART Argentina.

What to Do If You Have a Flybondi Booking

  • Contact Flybondi directly via their app or customer service to request a refund. Note that the airline’s operational state makes this uncertain - do not assume you will receive one quickly.
  • Dispute the charge with your credit or debit card provider if Flybondi does not process a refund. Under chargeback rules, a service not delivered entitles you to a reversal.
  • Check travel insurance: Policies with supplier failure or airline insolvency cover (sometimes called SAFI - Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance) may cover the cost of rebooked flights.
  • Rebook via another carrier as soon as possible. July is peak winter season in Argentina, and routes like Bariloche and Córdoba will fill quickly.
